Restock the new PS5 in the Store at GameStop

Sony’s PlayStation 5 console is set to be restocked later this week in the Store at select GameStop locations. This week happens to be a big promotional period for GameStop as the longtime video game retailer gears up for its “Professional Days” sale starting Friday. And while there will be a discount for a number of games to coincide with this sale, the latest PS5 restock will also take place at this time.

Starting June 24, this new restock for the PS5 is set for GameStop. As mentioned earlier, not every GameStop site will participate in this restocking, so the storefront closest to where you live may not have any PS5 consoles for sale. In addition, GameStop reserves this opportunity to sell only to those members of PowerUp Rewards Pro. This is something GameStop has done a lot in the past, and in short, it means that you will have to purchase a membership from the retail chain before you are allowed to buy the PS5. If you are not a member, those at GameStop will not sell you the console.

The only downside to this whole situation is that, as we’ve seen in the past, it appears GameStop will only sell these PS5 consoles as part of the larger bundles customers have to buy. This means that even if you have the opportunity to purchase a PS5, you will not be able to disable the console on your own. Instead, GameStop will only sell the platform along with larger bundles that contain various PS5 games, additional DualSense controllers, or other miscellaneous items. You can get a better idea of what some of these packages might look like in the tweet attached above.

Looking to try and disable the PS5 for yourself on this new GameStop restock? Or have you instead completely given up on your quest to buy a PS5? Let me know either in the comments or connect with me on Twitter at Trustworthy.
